Contrary to popular belief, Ai did not just suddenly appear with ChatGPT, a chatbot released in November of 2022. The history goes back further, decades further. Ai has been around since the early 1950s. The first successful Ai program was created by Christoper Strachey in 1951. From 1980 to 1987, a period in time coined the AI boom showed both rapid advancements and interest in the field.

There are many different purposes for Artificial intelligence. Cybersecurity, Machine learning, Automation, Robotics and so much more. For many, the ultimate goal of Ai is singularity. The purpose is for Ai to completely take over any work that can be done by humans, completing changing the work landscape and ultimately making work quicker and more efficient. To do this artificial intelligence must evolve to the point where they are able to make decisions on their own. For this to happen the systems take in prior data, learn from it, and create their decisions, mimicking a human’s ability to make decisions. While the goal was for Artificial intelligence to take over the tedious work humans could do so people could have more free time to do other things. It seems like instead of this, humans seem to be getting replaced. In this, opponents worry about how this may change the job market and affect job security if human work can be expandable and cheaply replaced. Forbes reported that over 300 million jobs worldwide will be replaced or affected by Artificial intelligence. This accounts for 18% of jobs worldwide. The top three industries that Ai is reported to make the most impact on are Finance and Banking, Media and Marketing, and Legal Services. The three industries reported to make the least impact by Ai are Agriculture, Manufacturing and factory work, and Healthcare.

Concerns about Artificial intelligence have been loud. School administrators voicing their concerns about the use of ChatGBT in schools and the very real possibilities of cheating and plagiarism. Programs like Turnitin have already developed software to check for the use of ChatGBT in students’ work. Universities have sent out emails and warnings about the use of Ai generated work. Artists have also voiced their concerns as Ai uses art pieces to then learn and then generate their own images. It is a very complicated and controversial question whether Ai art is truly theirs or the artist’s. This raises the question of how ethical Ai is and how it should it be regulated going forward.

There are five main principals that Ai must follow according to Forrester. The principals are fairness, bias and trust and transparency, accountability, social benefit, and privacy and security.

Artificial intelligence is an incredibly useful tool and can aid us in many ways. It can be applied to almost every industry. Healthcare, Human resources, Social media, the Gaming industry, and so much more.

Teamcal was created by Raj Lal, a former UX lead who realized that he was spending hours a day just scheduling virtual meetings. He thought there surely was a better and quicker way so Teamcal was created.

Unlike other similar scheduling software, Teamcal offers three distinctive features to help our customers. The one-click Meeting Scheduling feature, Timeboxing, and next-level meeting management supports Multiple Calendars.

Technology should not be complicated. We should not need an instruction page to figure out how to use tech that should be aiding us. With the one-click meeting, everything is simplified to well one click. Simply input your teams’ availability and create a unique meeting link to send out. With remote jobs rising in popularity, many are accepting jobs in different cities, states, and even countries. But don’t fret, Teamcal has accounted for the different time zones and will still provide you with available times that work for your team.

Now imagine being celebrated for your achievements and having a set schedule to work on those goals. Does that not seem like something you want? Teamcal does that and so much more. Enter the time-box feature, when you create a time slot for your goal, a corresponding meeting will automatically be created and entered into your schedule. Schedule time blocks into your calendar to work on your goals and receive confetti when you accomplish those goals. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could be reminded when to work on your goals? Well now you do, enable alerts on Teamcal. Lastly, check your progress ring to check your progress daily.
